At Laerskool Lydenburg we are aware that language forms a radical part of our children's development. With public speaking, we aim to give children an opportunity to develop their language. Do you have nerves of steel? Do you have an opinion to share? Do you like to say your say? Then you will enjoy public speaking! Everyone knows it takes heaps of courage to speech in front of a lot of people. Public speaking is a blast! 

For the choir of Laerskool Lydenburg, the main principle is that songs should convey a message to the people who listen to them. Dedicated choir members, choir parents, and choir staff, well-balanced song choices, and hard work are factors that contribute to the success of a choir year. 

Land Service is an organisation based on the following four pillars: Our love for God, our neighbours, nature and labour. We get together every Wednesday, where we learn new things and do fun activities together. 

The editorial staff consists of learners from Gr. 4-7 who do not care for a little extra homework. They are asked to sniff out news, in and around LSL. They also have to get advertisements for the newspaper's income. It is an opportunity for learners to be recognised for their writing and to improve their writing skills. Learners get the opportunity to be part of the editorial team for two years. In the editorial team, everyone gets to voice their opinion.
